Oxbridge Admissions
As a team of current and former Oxbridge students, we walk you through the full application process, from the personal statement to admissions interviews. Upon meeting each student, we carefully curate tailored reading lists and mock interview questions specific to the student's subject. We further cultivate niche interests for interview discussions through our supervision-style sessions.
For the admissions process, we currently specialise in French, German, Spanish, Italian, Arabic, Hebrew, Persian, Japanese, Chinese, English Literature, HSPS, History and Politics and Medicine. Any other subjects are available upon request and are subject to availability.
Pre-Application Guidance
Choosing a university, college and course is the first and most important step of a student's Oxbridge application. We offer guidance to the student on whether Oxford or Cambridge would be a better fit depending on their course and desired university experience, including which course would be most suitable regarding their career goals and current subjects, and finally, the college that will give them the most enriching and supportive environment.
Entrance Test Preparation
Some courses require a pre-entrance test that is either externally taken or internally run by Oxford or Cambridge. We provide helpful resources for revision, set practice tests and run targeted advice sessions, split between advising on exam technique and giving individual feedback on the student's previous practice tests.
Mock Interviews
The mock interview is the final step of the admissions process and often the part that holds the most weight in the university's decision-making. Often conducted similarly to a supervision/tutorial, it can include discussions of pre-reading materials, at-interview readings, questions or problem sheets, and further questions on the student's interests, experiences and personal statement responses. We tailor our interview approach to the specific course to ensure a realistic experience for the student. All of our interviews will be conducted with two interviewers who are current or past Oxbridge students within a related field and are split as follows: 35 minutes of interview time, 5-10 minutes break to allow for interviewer discussion, and 20 minutes of interviewer feedback on the student's performance. Depending on the course, the student will also complete a pre-reading or pre-interview test directly prior to the interview, which will be discussed during the interview.
Personal Statement Structured Questions
The personal statement process begins with our tailored reading lists to help students build foundational knowledge of their subjects. From here, we assist the students in honing their interests, drawing threads from various readings, and structuring their thoughts into three cohesive answers to the new UCAS personal statement questions format. Whilst the student brings the ideas, we value offering extensive feedback to help polish their answers, allowing for as much precision and conciseness as possible at this early stage.
'Supervision'-Style Workshops
'Supervisions' or 'tutorials' are a teaching method unique to Oxbridge, in which the student completes preparatory work, like an essay, on a special subject within their course and explore it in further detail through discussion and analysis with their tutor during their supervision. We replicate this teaching method in our own sessions to give the student a chance to develop their niche interests within their subject through prior research. During the session, we provide feedback on their work, then lead a further discussion on their chosen subject, bringing in more resources to enrich their knowledge and improve their interpretative and analytical skills.
